Q2, GROWING AND IMPROVING

This quarter has come to an end, and I find myself getting closer to moving up to senior high school. During Quarter 2, I learned many valuable lessons, especially in music and the arts. At the beginning of Quarter 1, I was quite shy and hesitant to participate. However, as Quarter 2 progressed, I became more confident in expressing myself and responding to my teachers. Before, I would often overthink whether I should answer or share my thoughts, but I gradually learned to communicate more openly and effectively.

In addition, I gained a deeper understanding of HTML tags. Although some of the concepts were challenging at first, our teacher was very responsive and patient in answering our questions, which helped me improve my understanding. I also developed better communication skills and became more comfortable interacting with others.

Despite these achievements, I encountered several challenges. At the start of Quarter 2, I struggled to find the motivation to complete my tasks. I also found it difficult to understand some lessons, particularly in pre-calculus. During that time, I felt lost and discouraged. However, I reminded myself of the promise I made to my father, who is now in heaven. I promised him that I would always strive to make my mother proud. Remembering that promise became my motivation to persevere, complete my tasks, and continue trying even when lessons were difficult.

To overcome these challenges, I worked on finding healthy ways to cope whenever I felt unmotivated or overwhelmed. I discovered that setting clear goals helped me stay focused and driven. By reminding myself of my goals, I was able to push forward and complete my responsibilities. There is a quote by Emily Vara that says, “Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.” This quote continues to inspire me, especially during moments when I begin to doubt my abilities.

As I enter Quarter 3, I am excited about the new lessons and experiences that await me. I am open to learning and committed to improving myself further. I understand that I may face challenges again, but I am determined to keep finding motivation and to continue doing my best. Many students struggle, especially with online classes, which may not suit everyone. Nevertheless, I believe that we can overcome these difficulties together.

Overall, Quarter 2 was a meaningful and transformative experience for me. I am grateful for the growth I have achieved and look forward to learning even more each day. As I prepare for my journey into senior high school, I feel more confident and ready to face new challenges. To my fellow Grade 10 students, I hope you are also enjoying and learning from your experiences. I am certain that we will continue to grow and improve as we prepare ourselves for the next chapter of our academic journey.
